Shivamrut is an age old Ayurvedic preparation. Which once upon a time used to be a household remedy for day to day ailments. For example cough and cold, stomach ache, vomiting, dysentery and diarrhoea and insect-bite.
Ingredients : Shivamrut contains Fresh Mint Concentrate (Pudine ka sat), Carom seeds concentrate (Ajvain ka sat) and Desi Camphor (Bheemseni Kapoor), Methylene blue.
How to Use:
Cough and Cold: Pour 2 – 3 drops of Shivamrut on a clean Handkerchief or cloth. Then inhale the vapours through deep breathing. Or Pour 8 – 10 drops of Shivamrut in hot water and inhale its vapours. This will help in de-congesting your chest and remove nasal blockage.
Dysentery, Vomiting and Stomach Upset: Pour 1-2 drops of Shivamrut on a teaspoon of sugar or a Batasha, or drink these by adding to a glass of warm water. This will comfort the stomach and stop nausea. Repeat if the problem persists.
Cholera: Taking 4-5 drops of Shivamrut (as mentioned above) helps in Cholera. Furthermore depending upon the severity of infection you could take Shivamrut two to three times after 15 minutes interval.
Insect Bite: In case of insect bite especially bite by Bumble Bee, Honey Bee and Scorpio, put 1 drop of Shivamrut and rub it gently on the bite. It will give relief from pain. Additionally, you can crush and paste Carom (Ajvain) on the bite and cover it with a clean cloth strip.
